Derby HCA ER Construction Continues

Wesley’s $10M ER in Derby construction underway

Wesley Healthcare is already 3-months into their construction on a $10 million emergency room in Derby. Like the planned hospital and other entertainment parks and restaurants planned for the same area, Rock Road is about to get one long-lasting facelift for decades to come.

The 11,000-square-foot facility, which will have 11 emergency room beds, imaging capabilities, and an on-site laboratory, is being constructed near the intersection of 63rd Street South and Rock Road. The physical address is going to be 2638 N. Rock Road. The emergency room is still on track for officially opening November 1, 2016.

City leaders and hospital leaders took park in a ceremonial ground-breaking for the project in late July at the construction site. Three months later and the project is looking as promising as ever, only one month away from public use.

JE Dunn is the general contractor on the project, and Phoenix-based Devenney Group is the architect overseeing the construction and planning.

The new structure will be part of the Wesley EmergencyCare Network and will be Wesley’s fifth emergency room in the greater Derby region. The project was officially announced by Wesley last summer, and is finally staring down completion, right on schedule. The emergency room is the latest multi-million dollar capital investment for Wesley.
